Southside Smokers specialise in Memphis-style pork ribs (smoked for hours and finished over hot coals), mouthwatering pulled pork (served in buns or loaded nachos), and smokey barbecue baked beans. Inspired by some of the best restaurants and pitmasters in the United States, Southside Smokers use time-honoured techniques, state of the art equipment and traditional cooking methods to produce world-class, award-winning barbecue. Owners, Matt and Margaret Vitale formed Southside Smokers to compete in US-style barbecue competitions and have cooked with and learned from the best pitmasters around, including Myron Mixon, Chris Lilly, John David Wheeler, Jim Johnson, Mike Mills and many others.
