The CaribVic Steelband consists of 23 recycled oil drums fashioned into chromatically pitched percussion instruments originating from Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies, and from their inception in the 1930s, have been tightly tied to community, and inclusive of the socially disadvantaged.
The CaribVic Steelband’s repertoire encompasses Calypso, Latin-style and Reggae as well as arrangements of more popular Western songs.
